Welcome to
West Valley Islamic Center

The West Valley Islamic Center (WVIC) is more than just a place of worship, it’s a beacon of faith, unity, and community for Muslims in Phoenix and beyond. As an independent, nonprofit organization, WVIC is deeply committed to serving not only the spiritual needs of its congregation but also fostering compassion, service, and connection within the wider community. Nestled in the heart of Avondale, Arizona, at 10410 West Van Buren Street, WVIC is easily accessible—just five minutes from both I-10 and Loop 101. Its central location offers a welcoming space for individuals and families to pause from their busy lives, find peace in prayer, and build meaningful relationships. At WVIC, we don’t just come to pray, we come to grow together, uplift one another, and make a lasting difference.

SPECIAL NOTE: WVIC condemns in the strongest terms the attacking of any innocent civilians. Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of those killed and injured unjustly. We stand firm for justice and peace. Bigotry of any kind contradicts the teachings of Islam. In line with our religion, we call for equality, social justice, and respect for all human life.

Prayer Schedule at WVIC

At the West Valley Islamic Center of Arizona, the weekly Jumu’ah prayer is one of the most important gatherings for the Muslim community. It is a time when believers come together to listen to the khutbah, reflect on Islamic teachings, and strengthen their faith through congregational prayer. The khutbah provides guidance, reminders, and practical lessons that help individuals apply Islamic values in their daily lives. Jumu’ah prayer is held every Friday at 12:45 PM, led by Sheikh Waleed. We encourage community members to arrive early, listen attentively to the sermon, and make the most of this blessed weekly gathering that brings unity, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
